Configure products online
Our topic in May 2019
In our topic in May, we are dedicated to online commerce, which is increasingly booming for products with different variants. While specially programmed PHP configurators are used in the various shop tools or also on company websites, the online configurators in ingenious are already integrated.
Any product that is created in the ingenious ERP system as a so-called BOM with configurator can be easily published on the Web. And this on any website, as well as in the most diverse web shops and even at the same time.
Every small or big change to the product variants in the local database is immediately active online. This saves a lot of time and money. In addition, the error rate is greatly minimized because in the Web only this variant can be configured or ordered, which is also possible in production.
If the online product configurators are kept for different customer groups and also for the use by the own field service, then different prices can be indicated: Gross list prices for end customers, special prices for specialized dealers and purchase and sales prices for field service.
