Print and E-Mail

In the global settings for printing and shipping, default settings are made for sending project documents and reminders.

Print

Save when printing Selection list Here you can specify whether and under what conditions a project is saved before it can be printed. Options:

  • Question – print only when saving
  • Qustion – print even if not saving
  • automatic saving
  • print without save
Default behavior print button Selection list Here you can specify whether the standard print button in the project should only print the document or simultaneously save it as a PDF file attachment. (The default is print only.)
Mask file name Input field When saving (and printing or emailing, if applicable), the filename is automatically generated from the document title and document number.
Alternatively, the filename can be customized using any combination of the following placeholders:{Document number}
{Document name}
{Print template description}
{Customer matchcode}

Furthermore, the file naming can be controlled via script.
For this, the placeholder {script:scriptname} must be entered as the mask.

 

E-mail sending

  • MAPI interface,
  • via EML or
  • via SMTP

When sending via the MAPI interface and via EML, the desired sending format must be specified (Plain, Rich Text – MAPI only, or HTML).
A Microsoft Outlook client (Outlook classic) must be installed to use the MAPI interface.
For Microsoft New Outlook or email clients from other providers, the EML option must be selected.
When sending via SMTP, the access data must be entered in the network settings (see Program Settings / Network and WebServer). By default, SMTP sending occurs in the background with the stored text.
